Membership Details

A. Membership is open to Pentecostal/Charismatic theological associations, denominational offices, ​and missions agencies affiliated with a member body of the Pentecostal World Fellowship that provide educational services to theological or ministry training schools. As a condition of membership, any member association providing accreditation or endorsement services must conform to the accreditation/endorsement standards and procedures approved by the Alliance.

B. Partners: are organizations or individuals that provide significant support and funding for WAPTE’’s activities.

4. Do you agree to actively support the purposes of WAPTE in promoting Pentecostal theological education and research on issues relevant to Pentecostal theological education by participation in WAPTE conferences and financially supporting the Alliance as per budgetary policy?
5. Does your organization/association offers accreditation services to schools?(Required)

Accreditation

Please review the WAPTE Accreditation and Endorsement Manual before responding to the following:

Does the association publish standards for accreditation that conform to those of WAPTE, including an assessment of the Pentecostal orientation of the school?
Does the association require a formal self-study as part of your accreditation process in which the school assesses its compliance with the standards of the association, including its strengths and weaknesses?
Does a team of experienced educators with no affiliation to the school conduct an onsite visit to verify that the self-study is an accurate and complete assessment of the school and its programs including its compliance with the standards of the association and its strengths and weaknesses?
Does your association agree to adhere to the accreditation term and status designations approved by the Alliance?
Does the association provide a guide to schools giving detailed information on how to conduct a self-study & a guide for the visiting teams on how to conduct an onsite visit?
Does the association conduct a training program for prospective members of visiting teams to ensure adequate understanding of the purpose and processes involved?

Is there a formal process for determining if the school qualifies for endorsement?
If so, does this process require a formal self-study and onsite visit before endorsement is granted?
Do your documents clearly state that endorsement does not imply accreditation?
If so, do you monitor the school’’s compliance with this limitation?
