The World Alliance for Pentecostal Theological Education (WAPTE) is a global cooperative fellowship of Pentecostal and Charismatic theological associations, denominational offices and missions agencies that provide educational services to theological and/or ministry training schools. It exists to assist and encourage member organizations in their endeavor to promote the development of Pentecostal theological education and leadership training. WAPTE serves as the Education Commission of the Pentecostal World Fellowship (PWF) and organizes the Theological Consultations for the triennial Pentecostal World Conferences. More »
The administration of WAPTE was especially helpful in assisting African educators launch the Association for Pentecostal Theological Education in Africa (APTEA). They provided advice, example documents and contributed to our first Triennial conference in 2011. The Association is less than three years old but already has a membership of over 35 schools and institutions and has impacted the quality of theological training in Africa. WAPTE continues to provide a high standard for our accreditation and links APTEA to similar associations worldwide.
